Trauma Sensitive Yoga
What is Trauma Sensitive Yoga?
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is a gentle, mindful approach to movement designed to support healing from trauma. This practice focuses on safety, choice, and empowerment, helping clients reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels secure and nurturing. Trauma-Sensitive Yoga can help reduce anxiety, stress, and nervous system dysregulation, while promoting emotional balance, body awareness, and self-compassion.
How it Works with Jamie White Counseling
When working with Jamie, sessions are carefully tailored to each client’s comfort and needs. Using gentle yoga shapes, breathwork, and mindful movement, Jamie guides clients in reconnecting with their bodies while maintaining a sense of control and safety. Clients are encouraged to move at their own pace, with options and modifications provided to support empowerment and self-awareness. Throughout the session, Jamie integrates regulation techniques and therapeutic support, helping clients process emotions safely and build resilience.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga at Jamie White Counseling is a compassionate way to combine mindful movement with therapy, providing clients with tools to restore balance, calm, and connection between mind and body.
