Meet Jamie

Jamie White: Therapist & Yoga Teacher

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience helping clients feel like the best version of themselves. Certificed in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500, TCTSY-F), I am also certified in Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga—an evidence based approach to trauma treatment that fosters a sense of safety through mindful movement and restoring a sense of agency.

I primarily use polyvagal theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, mind-body integration and EMDR to not just relieve symptoms of anxiety, trauma and burnout, but also to help empower clients to identify and understand the root cause of what is going on. A typical session may include exploring thoughts, beliefs and emotions through therapeutic conversation, breath work and mindfulness exercises, mindful movement, walking, EMDR, or practicing other pertinent skills. And, more often than not, laughter!

At the heart of my work is this belief: we can be our best selves when our mind, body, and emotions are connected, and when we feel steady inside.

My Focus: Resiliency for Nurses & Healthcare Professionals

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic I observed how deeply we rely on nurses in our healthcare system—and how often they give endlessly to others while rarely having space to care for themselves. I see you, nurses. And as a fellow caregiver, I’ve found we understand each other and work well together.

These days, I continue to work closely with women in nursing and healthcare who often reach a point of feeling disconnected, exhausted, or unsure if they can continue in their careers. Many have invested years of training and deep commitment into their profession, yet struggle to feel inspired or fulfilled. My therapy approach helps these highly skilled professionals:

  • Reconnect with the meaning and purpose in their work

  • Build tools to manage the vicarious trauma and intense stress they face daily

  • Cultivate a fulfilling life and strong relationships outside of work

Healthcare workers are regularly exposed to overwhelming and life-threatening situations, yet formal training rarely addresses the emotional toll—beyond the advice to “get used to it.” My work creates a safe, compassionate space for them to process, heal, and thrive.

Jamie White - wife, mama, daughter, sister, friend, student of life

When I’m not working with clients, I’m usually planning my next adventure. Some of my favorite memories come from traveling— whether exploring the world or a local gem. Born and raised in Colorado, I love calling Golden home and getting into the mountains for a long weekend of hiking and fresh air whenever I can.

I’ve always had a love for design and find joy in creating and being surrounded by beautiful spaces. I also enjoy cooking and savoring good food with people I care about.

And while I love life’s adventures, I’m no stranger to worry and anxiety—it runs in my blood. My own journey of learning how to regulate is a big part of what helps me connect deeply with others on their paths too.
